That was Paul’s response after we commissioned his system. We will take it.
Paul came to us wanting a substantial solar and battery setup for his home in Old Windsor. He had a good-sized roof and a garage that could house the inverter and battery equipment. He wanted to significantly reduce his electricity bills and capture as much of his solar generation as possible rather than exporting it. A larger residential system with DC-coupled battery storage was the obvious answer.
This was a multi-day job. Our team — Steve, Dan and Lewis — spent several days on site to get everything installed and commissioned to the standard we expect. With 14 panels and a DC-coupled battery, there is a lot of electrical work involved beyond just getting panels on the roof.

We paired the 6 kW hybrid inverter with the Puredrive DC-coupled battery specifically for efficiency. In a DC-coupled system, the solar electricity goes straight into the battery without being converted to AC first. That means fewer conversion losses compared to an AC-coupled setup. The hybrid inverter manages the flow of power between panels, battery and grid intelligently — storing surplus generation during the day and releasing it in the evening.
We completed a full structural survey, Easy PV schematic design and G99 FastTrack DNO application before any installation work started. The G99 FastTrack was approved for up to 7.36 kW with export limited to 3.68 kW, which means the system generates at full capacity and any surplus is exported seamlessly.
Paul received a complete handover pack including all datasheets, warranties, MCS certification and Part P compliance documentation. Everything he needs, in one pack, done properly.
